Ways to Support the Valley Academies Foundation
Gifts of Cash
Gifts of cash to support your favorite Valley Academies Foundation Program can be made at anytime, and/or annually on or before December 31 each year. Every gift – no matter how small is valued and appreciated by the Foundation.
Scholarship and Grants Program
If you decide to make an annual pledge, Valley Academies Foundation would be pleased to set up a Academy Scholarship or Academy Grant in your name or your company’s name. These programs of annual giving provide deserving academy students each year with financial assistance enabling them to enter post secondary programs of advanced education, training and/or certification – where they otherwise could not.
The Valley Academies Foundation’s Academy Scholarship or Grant Program enable donors to give–whatever you feel comfortable with in a particular year (by December 31st)– and we’ll award that much to a deserving academy student through an Academy Scholarship or Grant in your name or your company’s name.
Donors may also “vest” an Academy Scholarship Fund in their name through a one-time gift of cash or other asset – allowing the interest or earnings to fund an annual scholarship in your name or your company’s name – forever.
Individual, Business or Corporate Giving of Goods and/or Services
In addition to gifts of cash, individuals, businesses or corporations, and other public or private organizations and foundations may chose to make gifts of goods and/or services to the Valley Academy Foundation.
Any assets or services received by the Valley Academy Foundation will be used to further the Foundation’s pursuit of it’s Mission (Purposes as cited in the “About Valley Academy Foundation”). Such gifts may include offering the Valley Academy Foundation discounts on goods and/or services.
Gifts of goods and services may include (but are not limited to):
Technology – hardware, software, infrastructure, services
Consulting Services – technical expertise
Equipment – vehicles, specialized tool
Property – commercial buildings, lots, homes
Gifts of Academy Internship Grants
The Valley Academies Foundation seeks opportunities for academy students to earn on-the-job training in specific career fields. Educational and employment research shows that students who learn job skills in the “context” of the real world are more likely to succeed.
Your business can shape the future workforce of Pomona by establishing one or more Academy Internship Grants in the Academy Internship Program.
Current fields of career interest for Academy students include:
Health Professions
Media and Communications Professions
Restaurant and Hospitality Professions
Teaching and Education Professions
Business or Corporations can participate in the Academy Internship Program by funding one or more Academy Internship Grant(s) and agreeing to provide selected academy students with real on-the-job training and skill development opportunities. The Valley Academies Foundation will distribute Academy Internship Grant funds periodically and only when you sign-off that your academy intern(s) has accomplished an established on-the-job performance benchmark.
We predict that you may find that Academy Intern(s) may become your future employees.
